haircuts and converse

I gave David a haircut last night and man was he MAD! He was kicking and screaming and twisting and turning. He has never like haircuts, but since his last hospital stay he has gotten much more fiesty about being held down.

I hate to see him upset, but Steve and I feel strongly about making sure he is always well groomed and dressed nicely. This might sound simple, but the kid's got THICK hair that grows REALLY fast. Plus he's the size of an 18 month old. Finding clothes for him is a part time job. I don't want anything with little doggies or blue bears--I want BIG BOY clothes, but in a tiny size. The Gap has been good to me. We also have a really sweet friend who has professionally altered many pairs of pants for David. Over the weekend I found a pair of navy blue Converse high tops in David's size. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! They are so, so cute! So I dropped him off at school today with a new haircut and blue converse. Man I love that kid!!

David! I know you want your independence, but sometimes you gotta let people do things for you. I wish I could squeeze you right now!

Don't forget to post a photo of David in his new shoes!
Ben has thick, fast-growing hair too (at least on top of his head where he can't rub it off). So far I have managed to cut it (not very well) when he is asleep. I know what you mean about always wanting David to be well-dressed. We try to have Ben looking nice too since he always seems to attract alot of attention from other people.

Converse sneakers are cool..... I've always wanted a pink pair! My nephews owned some when they were five..... they said it made them go faster! What's David think? So cute!

I have a huge lot here ofr little boy clothes in 18-24m that you're welcome to. Its all old navy and gap, but I will caution that its fall/winter-long pants, long sleeves and some sweaters. Does it get that cold there?

Wow! That would be so great--David is pretty much wearing that size right now. Maybe we could trade for a necklace?! Email me. xoxo

I'm off to surprise the husband with tickets to see The Police tonight (and of course I just gave away my general location to the world ;)), so I'll drop you a line tomorrow. I have at least 40 pieces, probably a ton more if I go through allt he space bags. Any chance Matty can wear a 4T? I have adorable matching sweater/turtleneck sets (sweaters from ON) that my two wore at xmas last year, only the one time :)

Can I bring you back some chocolate too? lol (this refers back to my location--I'll save you the legwork, our show is at the Hershey Park Stadium--yup, that Hershey :))

Sucked into HP7. Will go through space bags tomorrow. My 2.5yo is in a 2-3t now, so most of the 4ts I'll save for him, but you can definitely have the matching sweater sets, I think they're much cuter together and, frnakly, he's not much on sweaters and turtlenecks--too hard to move freely into the mischief he so clearly craves ;)
