My favorite thing about fall is the opportunity to enjoy the show nature puts on here in the NE. The fall leaves, bright pumkins and crisp apples. Anxious to go apple-picking.

I love wearing sweaters and jeans and getting out the pumpkin candles that make my house smell yummy and drinking chai tea.

The smells...fall has it's own smells...the smell of fallen leaves and warm fires mixed delicately with the crisp air...the smell of nutmeg, cinnamon, basil, rosemary, apple, pumpkin in the foods of fall that I so desperately love (apple crisp, pumpkin bread....mmmmm). And the smells of school (which I miss so much)...crayons, pencils, paint, elmer's glue, and new books!!

this will sound completely odd and ridiculous..but my favorite thing about fall...the smell of the leaves. Not the smell of fall..the smell of the leaves. The way that after it rains the leaves have a 'wet potato chip smell' (see odd), and when they are dry and just fallen they have the crisp woody smell. I hate to see them (or smell them) being burned b/c I love them the other ways so much.
That necklace is precious...I call my little girl my 'little bird'. :)

There are so many things I love about the transition from summer to fall. I love driving through the mountains and seeing the first signs of leaves changing from green to red, orange, and yellow. I love walking from shop to shop downtown and, every once in a while, feeling a cool breeze that chills me and reminds me that a new season is on its way. I love how seeing leaves fall off their trees reminds my that life is fragile; I'm reminded to appreciate the little things in life that make it so wonderful. Like the simple changing of the season.

My favorite thing about fall is the smell in the air,it's so clean and brisk. Here in the Great Smokey Mountains,Tn the leaves are starting to change those beautiful colors of orange, yellow, people are starting to decorate with pumpkins and scarecrows and getting ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving..This is my fav season by far..The necklace is beautiful,it reminds me of the the blossum of a plum tree which is Taiwan tree and I long to adopt a little girl from this country,it's symbolic and beautiful...

What I love about fall.........My twins were born in fall and much to our surprise one was born with an undetected health issue, Gage reminds me of the colorful leaves on the trees, the ever changing colors represent the spectrum of emotions we went through while visiting him in the hospital. The vibrant red, the yellows, the oranges and the purples these very colors of our love (I like to think)allowed him to live, and thrive. When he was fed, watered with our love, a lot like the leaves on a tree he was ready to come home, he floated in the soft breeze and into our arms.

My favorite thing about Fall is the cool Central Coast nights down at Farmer's Market. I love going through my closet and pulling out all of my sweaters and moving them to the front. I love wearing big knitted sweaters with jeans and boots as we walk around downtown smelling the amzing Harvest. I can't wait!

The things I love most about fall are getting out my comfy cozy sweaters with jeans, putting on my knit hats, drinking my steaming beverage to stay warm, the turning leaves, and fires in the fireplace.

While winter is my favorite season, fall is a close second. It is such a rich season... filled with vibrant colors, cozy scenes, and delightful scents. I love the changing colors of the leaves, the cooler temperatures - perfect for tea and hot chocolate, the sights of pumpkins on porches, and apple and pumpkin pies, wearing sweaters, and just the inner warmth that the season brings.

A bit late but I thought I'd share anyway. The summer ends with my bday (7/9) and rings in the start of fall a colorfull homely time. My fave thing is that we spend more time together inside as all the sports and outdoorsy things come to an end and we have more pyjama days on sunday :D

My favorite thing about fall is Halloween. I love to enjoy the grandkids making the choices of "what to be" for that night. I love to sew and even sew some of the costumes for them.

My favorite thing about fall is watching the leaves fall gently from the trees, preferably while I'm inside drining some hot tea under a quilt, while reading a book.

I love :

Sitting on my porch (or deck) and knitting. having the fabric warm up the chill of my hands.

Hot cider stirred slowly w/cinnamon sticks.

The promise of seasonal mystery. changing leaves. the moon. the cold dark night.

(and the necklace is beautiful.)

My favorite thing about fall is cuddling up closer to stay warm, wrapping up in my blanket handmade by my mother in law and breaking out the crock pot again to help cook yummy dinners. I have been eyeing your beautiful creations for some time now, they are wonderful!

My favorite thing about fall are the crisp mornings...a little hint of the bite that's going to come during full blown winter. I love to open up the windows and feel that freshness.

maybe I'm too late to enter but fall deserves its praises anyways. love the COLORS. I grew up in S.Calif and seasons all seemed to blend but now in the NW, the COLORS are amazing and I never fail to notice the natural beauty.

My favourite thing about fall is the weather. I'm not a hot-weather person, so when the mornings turn crisp, and the nights are cool, and I can pull out my feather duvet again, I'm a very happy girl :)

My favorite thing about Fall is the nostalgia that wafts through with the cooler weather. The humidity dies down and the color of the sun has changed. Everything looks rich even though everything is closing down for the winter. I immediately pull out the sweaters and cords for my boys and all I want to do is bake. I always miss New England in the Fall. The colors are so full and glorious. Pennsylvania's not bad though.

Fall is my favorite season. Fall is a time for family outings and baking with the kids. Cleaning the house and decorating with one of my favorite colors: orange. Listening to "Phase Music" as we called it growing up.

One gripe I have with the season: it's too short.
