the perfect date is...

tee shirt and jeans, your favorite bbq restaurant, a great movie and milk duds.

OR

the perfect slinky top with heels, candlelight dinner by the water, a delicious creme brulee and dancing.

blue jeans, baby. And Raisinettes, not Milk Duds,;)

Okay - blue jeans, flip flops and CORNDOGS. Yum. And radio. And the back of a flatbed truck. Wheat fields. Drive-in. Picnic. Cool breeze.

Honestly, they both sound great. It would just depend on what time of the month it was!

no milk duds over here, but the rest sounds very good to me !

....the blue jeans occassion for most days. But...I would have to say the perfect date is getting some awesome takeout. going to a park. eating and drinking a bottle of somewhat affordable, yet fabulous wine. then...joining your kids. getting a movie. ending the evening with the whole family. after changing into pajamas of course...:)

And, might I add...the slinky top WITH the perfect jeans...one of my favorite outfits! A combo...

oh, such a toss up!!!! I love getting all sexified, but cozying up at a movie is so wonderful too!!!! I can't decide.... :0)

Slinky top, fit-like-a-glove jeans, kitten heels, candle lit dinner, martinis, and a book store. Heaven.

You are endlessly inspirational for me, Lisa, as evidenced by the post over at my place.

Have to go for the tee shirt and jeans, flip flops and maybe Coldstone's instead of Milk Duds! (It still could be a cute tee shirt!)

jeans date for sure. how about some free babysitting, too?

Comfort over fashion for me. I love your jewelry, so cute - good work! :)

T shirt and jeans! Twizzlers at the movies.

Jeans... movie maybe, if the Angels are in town! And we prefer Hot Tamales!

Kelly said...

That should be... if the Angels aren't in town! If they are, we'd be at the game, with BBQ and Hot Tamales and peanuts!

Blue jeans for sure -- and I have to say that all of the above suggestions sound good. I think I"m hungry!

blue jeans. With junior mints instead of milk duds.

Blue Jeans, Flip Flops and yummy Mexican food!!! No movie for me, just a very slow cup of coffee and dessert! :-)

Would have to go with jeans and a tee ... that is just us! :)

Kristen Borland said...

both are fun, but blue jeans, bbq, movie, and candy (sometimes milk duds for mike, but usually jr mints or hot tamales for me).

You can wear a slinky as a top? I'd probably wear one as a bracelet ... with jeans and a rockin' pair of vintage shoes. BBq sounds good. So does an art film or indie movie followed by a milkshake and a walk on the beach. Quiet a contrast from our last date which was me getting dressed up to play board games with my husband at the kitchen table after the kids had gone to bed ... pathetic!

Cocktails and appetizers while watching a beautiful sunset. Attire would be my new Brazil Rox jeans, cute top and heels :)

Wow, those both sound like good dates. I would have to say it would depend on my mood. My husband and I got all dressed up and had a great date this last weekend but most of the time I am up for jeans and a relaxed time.

Must say I can't choose but I think I prefer the first one. Such lovely items on the picture! Hugs, Mia

For sure the creme brulee by the water =)

Jeans, tshirt, movie - but I definitely need to have popcorn :o)

Getting dressed up to go to a fancy dinner and dancing! I wear a t-shirt and jeans every day.

My husband says a perfect lifetime unique date would be sitting on the top of a hill with a lot of forests in an early morning oversee the lake, having a light meal with or without a family on our casual outfit: jeans, tee shirts, tennis shoes-- getting to know each other better. >^..^< If it is all necessary, you might as well add a campfire to do the smores.

Anonymous said...

Perfect date...sitting around a campfire in jeans and a comfy sweatshirt with my hubby. Eating smores and looking up at the stars would be pretty good! That hasn't happened in a while with two little ones! Sounds really good though:)

?Date? Whats that? I would love to go on a date with my husband....sounds devine. If and when it happens its blue jeans all the way!!

Ellen said...

the first one for sure! Substitute the milk duds with recees and I'll be there!

jeans, flip flops and slushies all the way!

I read the title of your post and immediately thought of the line from Miss Congeniality about the favorite date being something like "April 9th"! :) Thanks for providing me something small to giggle over! I needed it tonight! Oh and jeans and tee definitely!

Karen said...

Love the fancy dinner and the creme brulee, but HATE heels, slinky tops and dancing! So I guess I'll go for blue jeans and bbq.

Sol said...

I m more the blue jeans kind of girl....so it has to be that. But I wouldn`t say no to a date by the lake with candle light.... ;-} Have a nice day.

Meagan said...

They both sound wonderful, but I'd have to go with jeans and goobers instead of milk duds.

Cathy said...

Blue jeans definitely--or capris if it's warm enough. No fancy schmancy for this gal.

Kristen Borland said...

oh, did i forget to mention i'd also be wearing a sweet little love birds necklace that i won from a blog giveaway... oh wait, that's right, you haven't announced winners yet! i'm dying on this one, lisa! it's such an awesome piece!

Robin said...

t-shirt and jeans... only because my hubby doesn't dance. that would be a lonely dance floor!

Dena said...

blue jeans, cute top, chick flick movie, a yummy starbuck's in one hand and my sweetie's hand in the other.

Alina said...

I have to say the blue jeans, bbq restaurant, and a movie for sure :)

THe date with the milk duds, most definately!

I would always pick jeans, nice top, Texas Roadhouse, movie, popcorn with milk duds, and then a Slurpee on the way home! Great all around! (if it was mixed up any, I would choose laser tag or something more fun but still in the same attire and still with a slurpee at some point!)

Anonymous said...

I would do both on different days...lol! I can't wait to fit back into my jeans! hehe

slinky top, heels, candles, dinner and dancing. Got a really cute top at a shop in San Clemente yesterday! I think the hubby will like it when he sees it! Can't say he'd go for the dancing but maybe if I pleaded! Love your new stuff!

Wendee said...

Jeans, Thai take-out, a great movie, buttered popcorn, and making plans for the next road trip.

We've found that the more we make of a date, trying to get dressed up and get to the fanciest place in town, the more stressed we are. It's far easier to go for a long drive, ending up at Krispy Kreme or taking a walk around a park we've not visited before. That keeps expectations low and really lets us relax and just enjoy the moments together.
