I strongly dislike grocery shopping. Since the time we have lived together my husband has done the grocery shopping. I never asked he just did it. Love is him knowing and me not having to ask.

Oh my gosh, what makes me feel loved is my six year old looking at me and telling me "Mom, you make everything fun". This pregnancy has made me feel like I am the least loveable person on the planet I've been so sick and for her to say that made me feel like I was the most loved person alive :)

i just had my gall bladder removed two days ago and i'm trying to recover with a 3 year old and 1 year old... and my dh is awesome. he's done everything from dinners to laundry to playing with the kids to getting up with them in the middle of the night (one is sick too) and then letting me sleep when i need to. and... he still checks in on me and makes sure i am taking my pain meds on schedule.

for someone who is used to doing this for everyone else, it makes me feel so loved that he's doing this, unasked.

thanks for asking :) now i need to go tell him all of what i just wrote down!!

That my husband has been taking care of me, the kids and the house, all while still trying to work full time. He's never complained. And, even though I've been mostly housebound for a couple of months now, I feel awful and I'm sure look terrible, he still told me that I'm his favorite person in the whole world. If that's not love I don't know what is.

You know the silence between a husband and wife at night that signals that sleep is imminent? (Finished is the last minute chatting about the day). When my husband whispers "I love you" into the stillness, right before we fall asleep, I know I'm loved because his words tell me that one of the last things he's thinking about before sleep is me.

We have a little African boy living with us right now while he's in the States for some medical treatment... whenever he comes up next to me and places his teeny tiny hand in mine, I feel loved. I am a blessed wife and mother - but love from this sweet boy touches me in a different way. It's hard to explain - but my heart has been changed forever because of it.

My dear T has done many things over the 12+ years we have been married, but the sweetest thing was just this past week for my birthday. He and the kids and I were at Walt Disney World and I saw a trading pin there that I loved, but had planned on buying later. Of course when I went back the next day I couldn't find it. Without my knowledge, he checked every pin stand we passed by until he found it. Less than $10 but it was priceless. Silly story, but I love this man...

Every time either I, as a deaf mom, have to say "I Love You" in sign language for both of my hearing sons when I drop them off at school, or giving them a good night kiss.

My older son would always tell me, " I love you very very very (so on) much" then give me a BIG SMACK kiss.

My younger son, who is autistic, has learned the difference to say between "I love you" and "I really love you" in sign language. One night when I gave him my regular routine, "ILY," then out of blue he made an effort to use it in sign language, "I really love you." It brought my tears.

My two sons are not the only person I know would give me a good bye or good night kiss. If I had forgotten to give him a kiss, then he would say, "You forgot the most important thing." I just smile and give him my kiss.

Deep inside of me, I know I am being loved by my immediate family. That's something I will always cherish the times I have with my family.

When he lets me cry and drip all over him when I am having a bad day. When he comes home with a gift certificate for me to get a massage, and the appointment is that afternoon. When he goes to the market for milk and comes home with a gossip magazine and chocolate bar for me. When he tenderly touches my stretch marks from the four boys I've given him and says "I love your war stripes, you have earned them baby". When he tells our oldest to watch the boys for awhile so we can go to the bedroom to "talk" for a bit (a great make out session always follows). When he looks at me and I can see in his eyes that HE feels like he's finally home....

I am so blessed to be loved so much! These are three things that make me feel loved: my 21-month old loves playing the drums. When he walks up to me and hands me the sticks and says "mum" I tell him that he can play the drum and he will reply "mommy" meaning that he wants me to play his drum - this just melts my heart. He is also stingy with kisses but he has his moments where he'll run up to me, kiss me five or six times and then run away laughing - I feel so loved by this little boy. A third thing that makes me feel loved is when my husband lets me sleep in and then wakes me up with breakfast made for me.

Okay, my hubby makes me feel loved in so many ways. The way he'll give me a foot massage just because, the way he always brings me home a hot cocoa (not a coffee drinker) on his break from work, the way he tells me how lucky he feels that I am his wife. We've been married for 14 years and I feel more loved now then ever before.

It has definately been the little things since our second baby has been born... my husband covering me up in his sleep (even though I have the post-baby sweats), getting up with the baby even though I have told him I would, bringing home dinner so I don't have to cook, and never once commenting that I once again did not find the time to shower today.

Also, when my 2 year old, after being in time out, walks up to me, cocks his head to the side and says "Hi mommy" in the sweetest voice, never once carrying a grudge that I had him go sit down for a minute.

After 15 years of marriage the best was coming home from our honeymoon (red-eye out of Honolulu). We had a really rough flight into and out of SF. We had the flight of death from SF to SLO. Thought for sure we were not going to make it. We did.

I was exhausted after wedding/honeymoon/30 straight hours of travel and no sleep. I came home and fell into bed. He didn't. He warmed up the house, did the laundry, went to the market, brought home my favorite pizza from Nardonne's (no longer in business, bummer....). He woke me 5 hours later....

15 years later it is still the same, through very difficult times, 4 children, and life in general he still represents Christ to me.

Love from him isn't a kiss, a touch, a look - it is all of it- combined with what we have created.

Now if I could only get him to be an early bird instead of a night owl!!!

He loves and accepts me when I'm the most unloveable. We lost a baby, while we were living in Haiti almost 6 years ago this month. He held me as we cried after the surgery, in a make shift hospital on cement floors, with no family or friends to comfort us. We only had eachother and our Lord. I felt loved at that moment, no running water, no bathrooms, no medication to take away the pain. Just our love. Today we remember that lost baby, who we wanted soo much, and we love our children who truely are blessings and gifts from God. He also loves unconditionally. and we are thankful for that. Hugs Amy

I feel loved when:
my husband works hard all day but does the dishes morning and night,
when he'll barbque for me when there's a blizzard outside, when I find love notes all over the house after he's gone on a business trip, when I slip into bed and we hold hands all night long.
I feel LOVED!

Thanks Lisa for your beautiful jewelry.

I have such a great husband, I always feel loved. Quiet moments reading the newspaper together, holding hands going for a walk, when he brings me coffee in bed in the morning, cooking his not-so-gourmet meals for me...the list goes on and on. I'm very lucky.

When my boyfriend out of the blue tells me that "I think I'd prefer to have a live band at our wedding." or "When we get a house, we should get a nice big comfy couch." I know these might not sound overly romantic to other people but to me it's a clear indicator that he loves me because he's thinking of the future in terms of us and not just him. Which to me says volumes more than a simple "I love you."

The best thing for me, is to see my husband as a father! I have never ONCE had to ask him to "babysit" because he knows they are HIS kids and he is always willing to give me a break to have some "me" time and get some relaxation! I know he wants me to be happy and that always makes me happy knowing how much he loves me! Our theme..........."A happy wife is a happy life, and a happy husband makes a happy wife." ;)

Oh my, so many things make me feel loved, but here are just a couple. :)
*when my oldest daughter (2 years old) says "mommy I lub you." There is nothing better than having her say that in her cute litle voice.
*When my husband gets home from work the first thing he does is ask "How are my girls doing?" and then gives me and my two daughters a kiss on the forhead. We all look forward to that when he returns home. :)
P.S. you make such beautiful necklaces! God has given you such a wonderful talent. :)

Have a great day!

onw of the most precious memories of my husbands love for myself and our children occurred when my then 16 year old son had a bad reaction to a prescription medication. I recieved a call from the school that Eli was apparently having a "strong" reaction to a prescription painkiller and that I should go get him and let him sleep it off at home. I called my husband to let him know what was going on, he offered to leave work and get our son. I told him no, I was off work and would take care of everything. When I got to school the nurse had decided that maybe things were more serious than she had originally thought and recommended taking him to our pediatrician to be checked out.

When I arrived at the doctor's office, my son was unconcious (!) and I could not get him out of the car. I ran to get a nurse and a wheelchair so that we could get him inside the building. The office didn't own any wheel chairs. They said most kids either were carried in, or owned their own wheelchair already. Several nurses and I went out to attempt to get my son out of the car and into the building. My son at this point was already over 6' tall, and was much bigger than any one of us there. So one of the nurses went to grab the doctors to come help us and I continued tostruggle to get my baby out of the car. I had his upper body in my arms and was dragging him out of the vehicle when a voice behind me said "I got him." I watched in amazment as my husband scooped my son up into his arms and carried him up a flight of stairs as if he were still a little baby,on the way meeting the doctor running out to help us. My husband said he had felt like he should go to meet us at the doctors office, and when he got there he saw us struggling so hard. My son was transported by ambulance to the hospital and was eventually fine, but everytime I think of this horrible time I am overcome with emotion, and especially with love for my husband, who followed God's promptings to take off work and go to the doctors office and was there when I needed him so very much. Sorry for writing a book.

Knowing that I can find love in so many places, is, in itself, one of the greatest ways to feel loved. At the top of that list is knowing you have friends who would give the world to you if they could, friends who are there for you in thick and thin. And, best of all, friends who make you dinner when the world turned it's back on you! I don't think a person could survive without love from friends like that!

I have a couple of things that make me feel loved...the first one is when one of my children wraps their arms around me and says, "I love you, Mommy...you're the best Mommy ever!" Believe it or not those moments come at very random times...not when I've done something 'great' for them...

The second thing is watching my husband with our children...I really believe that our relationship is reflected in how sweet he is with them (especially the girls)...he's actually on a date with our ten-year old tonight...he wants them to have a marital relationship like ours someday & he's teaching them how to choose godly mates!

My husband and I always find our seats in a movie theater first, and then he runs out for the popcorn and soda. When he comes back in the theater he'll pretend to look for me. He'll stand at the front of the theater scanning the audience until I frantically wave my arms alerting him to my location. And no small wave will do; it must be huge and dramatic.

I know it seems cheesy, but this makes me feel loved. Just being silly together. In public. In front of strangers.

I feel loved when I can be with someone and nothing needs to be said. When I can be comfortable with the silence and not keep thinking, "I should do this or I should do that"

When I can be myself and not feel I have to prove myself - I can cry and it is okay, I can play and it is okay, I can leave the dishes undone and the bed unmade and it is okay.

I feel loved when his actions match his words and when they don't we can say what we need to say and we can move on.

I feel love when I can stand naked both literally and figuratively and not be afraid to let him know me.

There's a verse in the bible in the book of Song of Soloman that says, "you are a lily among brambles" and so my husband took that verse and made me a flower arrangement with a bunch of twigs he collected from our neighborhood and planted a calla lilly in the center of these twigs in a vase and wrote "you are my lilly among brambles". MIND YOU... my husband is an accountant... not the creative-artsy-fartsy type :O) but he really wanted in grow in romancing me (because of something I shared with him)... needless to say, I felt so loved... that he listened to me and went out of his comfort-zone and made the untangible tangible. SIGH* what a great guy. We've been married for almost 5 years and have 2 little boys.
