random bits of information...

it's been so nice to be home for the weekend! matty got a haircut yesterday.

he didn't like it at all...

the house has been in need of some tidying and organzing

ahh, much better!

we bought bunkbeds for the boys yesterday. we are planning to separate them, so David will have the bed with the railing all the way around. I hope it works. The kid can't live in a crib forever. I can't believe both my boys will be in big beds!!

David's moving to a big boy bed! Yipeee. Maybe once Matty gets older he can sleep on the top bunk. Every kid should have this experience.

Poor Matty!
I just bought bunks too. See my blog!
Loving that beautiful bare counter top. I'm starting to see how it is impossible to keep the house clean with kids around. You just have to let the mess sit sometimes, and clean it up later. I'm working on being ok with that.

Wow, how did you get that counter so clean???? We've had a messy kitchen counter for the last three years, I think! We have bunk beds for our older boys. They've loved them, although for the longest time they would both sleep cuddled next to each other on the bottom bunk. Surprisingly, Jonny has recently taken over the top bunk. I thought for sure Isaac (the oldest) would want it. So far nobody has fallen out of bed...
I hope Matty and David like their new bunk bed.

I'm not brave enough yet to do toddler beds or twin beds. My triplets will turn three next month and we're still in cribs with crib tents.

I'm just dreading the "partying until the sun comes up" that I know will happen since they're in the same room. But I also know I have to do it soon, it's a part of growth and development ...

Lord help me!

I wish I had known you were looking at bunk beds- we have a set that's pretty new, but I'm getting rid of them because no one will sleep on the top bunk! NO ONE! So what's the point? We just separated the beds last night for the boys, but I don't like that they don't match now- one has the rails all the way around, etc. Oh well... live and learn.

OK - nosy nellie here to ask about what appears to be a pear painting on your wall. I LOVE the green in it! Did you paint it??
p.s. Good think you're seperating the bunks...just had my youngest fall off the top bunk at her dad's house two weeks ago and break her elbow! Not recommended! Best to you and yours! :)

I wish I painted the pear. It's a Toni Grote. An ebay find.
