poor david
So when I went to get David up this morning, I realized he had thrown up during the night. And when I reached in to pick him up he felt really hot. Thankfully we were able to get into the doctor's office this morning. Looks like pneumonia. Bummer! We got some stronger antibiotics and started up the breathing treatments again. His pediatrician said if he gets any worse he's going to put him in the hospital. Please pray that we see quick improvement! Lots of snuggling today...
I think I'll take a break from David's story and address some frequently asked questions. If you'd like to ask a question, leave a comment. I am pretty darn open!!

of all of david's achievements so far, which one are you the most surprised about?
this one may sound a bit harsh, but what is his life expectancy with cdls?
thanks for being so open with us all! love you!
oh no! poor little man. we will definitely be praying for him. please keep us updated!
Lisa I am SO SORRY!!! Know that the Heldts are praying for David. Love you guys!
(What has been the most difficult thing about David's syndrome? What's been the greatest blessing that has come from it?)
Poor little guy! Being sick is so miserable! Prayers and kisses from me!
What broke your heart the most when you realized that your son wouldn't be "healthy"?
Is cls genetic, random, etc.? How do you "get" it?
Do you ever get snarky with people when they stare or make rude comments? If so, what do you do/say?
Little guy! Get well soon, my love bug!
Poor little guy!! Sending good vibes your way.
My question: Does Matty know is brother is 'different?' How do you explain it to him?
Big Hugs for David. My heart is with him. =(
Everyone asked such great questions, I'm looking forward to the answers.
Aww, poor little guy! Praying for him and you as you care for him!
I hope David bounces back soon. Poor little guy. I'll be praying for him.
My question is a little more basic than the others: did David have a Nissen fundoplication when he had his G-tube surgery? Ben did, and now he can't burp or vomit as a result, although I understand the Nissen can loosen in time.
Lisa, I'm praying for little David! And also for you - I know it can be tiring being the mom of a sick one (and a healthy one also). Hope everyone gets rest and feels better tomorrow.
And everyone already asked the questions I was thinking about - except what Karen said???? I'm not sure I know what those big words mean :}
Get better soon, David!
Sorry about that! A Nissen fundoplication is a surgery to prevent acid reflux.
L- sorry david is so sick, fevers are so scary. (What is your biggest prayer for David? How do MD's see his progress today?)
David is really quite sick. Pray for David, Lisa, and family. It's always such a hard thing to see your child so ill.
Thinking of you all while David is poorly.
I have a question, : if you had had your children the other way round would you have a third baby so that your last experience of pregnancy, childbirth and the babymoon was a joyful memory instead of a troubled one? I cacn't feasibly have a 5th child but I feel sad that my last birth and first few days/weeks/months were so painful. We had people visit us crying rather than full of congratulation.
