hard work!

Matty has quite the list of things to do today...
1. Wash trike (in a mud puddle)
2. Draw with sidewalk chalk (make lots of H's--his favorite letter right now)
3. Watch Alvin and the Chipmunks at least twice
4. Eat strawberry after strawberry, yum!
5. Boss David around
6. Color a racetrack on construction paper for his hot wheels to race (and crash on)
7. See where the day leads!

this + that

we enjoyed family movie night consisting of alvin and the chipmunks (which i thought was really funny, but maybe i was in a silly mood), snuggling under blankets (David only lasted about a half hour then he had to go slam some cupboards) and lots of popcorn (kettle corn, of course!). so fun!

the riveted jewelry is up...yAy! Steve ran into a couple glitches during the process, but I think we've worked them out.
The women's conference at church was great. So fun and refreshing and definitely giving me some things to think about!

Last day for Mother's Day orders is Monday, April 28th. Let me know in the note section if you need it for Mother's Day.

weekend

friday means steve's day off and the weekend starts. yay!

david has been happy and energetic. so glad he's back to himself!

thanks so much for your encouragement yesterday. we moms need to encourage each other! life is good but it's also crazy and definitely imperfect. while i feel so blessed, i don't want to give the impression that our lives are always carefree or that we don't struggle. there is beauty even in the mess! hope you've got some fun stuff lined up this weekend. i'm off to tackle the garage...then join up with friends for our women's conference at church.

sometimes...

when things get stressful and the boys are fussing and I am tired, I take out my frustration on Matty. I don't want to do it. I want to be a patient mommy who never raises her voice or gets grumpy. I want to treasure each moment with my boys and make sure they know how loved and valuable they are. But in the moment, I snap or raise my voice. David seems more helpless so I don't direct it toward him, it's Matty who is on the receiving end. I always feel awful right after and give him a hug and tell him I'm so sorry. But life is imperfect and I am an imperfect mommy. Somehow he seems to bounce back quickly and goes through life with a carefree spirit and loving heart. Thanks for being patient with me, Matty. I love you.

sweet tooth.

saturday we joined friends for a party to help them celebrate their baby's dedication. matty talked about cake in the car as we drove over. and he talked about it on the way home. that kid is like a crack addict with sugar. he just wanted to sit near the cake so he could 'smell' it. he definitely gets his sweet tooth from me.

simply riveting.

A hammered sterling square (about 1") is riveted to a gold-filled hammered flower. These will be available in about a week. I am having so much fun! The gold is very soft-providing a nice contrast to the silver.

Here is the riveted heart again. I've got one more to introduce in the next few days! Happy Wednesday...

where would i be without you?

i am totally addicted without any desire to stop. it's just sooo good! yum. *oh* and tomorrow i am going to show you another new riveted design!!

boutique designs...

The girls had a blast hanging out at lindsey's yesterday! It was a cozy group so we had lots of time to chat. Here are a few pieces I had with me...

Open circle. Love this message. Add the open circle to you basket and in the note area type 'love honestly design'

This is the My heart necklace. One of my favorites!

OK, this one turned out WAY to cute! Don't you love it?--no pun intended! To order, add the sparkle necklace to your basket and then in the notes type 'lots of love design'.

So sweet.  This is the original necklace with the wings charm (love it!!). You can put a note to request the circle be hammered and 2 sizes of letters.

True love hearts. Makes me want to get married all over again (to you, honey, of course!). In the note section, request dots around the edge.

we love the beach...

because it's so cool! That's what Matty said as we got in the car to leave. It was a bea-u-tiful day and we just soaked it up.

Matty would be content to throw rocks into the ocean for hours...

David loves the sand between his toes. The sun felt so good on my shoulders. Hmmm, my shoulders need a little sun...

This picture is priceless and sooo hard to get. THIS is why I carry my camera around all the time. Love it!

So many rocks, so little time.

David was so fun and happy at the beach. We came home and read stories before nap time and he ended up sleeping from 2:30pm until 6am this morning!! Sleepy boy.

out for breakfast.

We often go out for breakfast on the weekend. Dorn's (Morro Bay) is so yummy, and the coffee is great!Matty got chocolate chip pancakes, with a side of sugar. So, yeah, he was happy!

David fell asleep halfway though his oatmeal. Then he proceeded to sleep most of the day. This cold has really knocked him down. Makes for lots of cuddles but I want my silly David back!

The rest of weekend will be spent working on the yard, polishing up the website, seeing Horton hears a Who and general weekend laziness--oh and the BoUtiQuE at Lindsey's!!

Friday, April 11, 2008

what are your sunday plans??

Lindsey's house, this Sunday from 2-5pm.  Be there or be square!!

something new...

Here's sneak peek at a new design. The oval is gold-filled with a sterling heart. It's not available yet, but it will be soon! I'm cooking up a couple other things, too. Aren't you excited?? I am!!

my brain=mush.

there's been a lot of change around here lately. it's silly but, i would rather do something the hard way than have to change. the website is such an exciting change, but it's making my head spin a bit. so if you emailed and haven't recieved a response, please email again. and try not to be mad at me.

and just for fun...

and also some...

Tuesday, April 8, 2008

sniffly.

Seems like we can't get rid of our colds around here. Or as soon as we get better, we get another sniffle. David always gets it the worst, so he needs decongestant and breathing treatments multiple times a day. He missed school all last week and looks like he'll be staying home tomorrow and the next day...

He has been such a happy, snuggly little cutie that I really don't mind. And it means we wear jammies until noon and watch more videos which is nice--at least for a couple days. It's good to slow down for a bit...as long as i don't get it! Mommies should never get sick. You can't take a day off and there isn't anybody to take care of you! I take airborne and vitamin C. What's your trick for staying well?

love & change.

first of all, thank you. i am overwhelmed by your support and encouragement with the website. i am so grateful! it's an exciting step. it's so nice to feel cared about.

the website is a pretty big transition for me. it's great because it will save so much time for me and for you. I was spending 15 hours a week sending paypal links and answering questions. what will i do with all that free time?? :) it's a little hard to let go of the personal contact i had with each of you when you placed your order, so please keep in touch via comments on my blog and email. i want to be connected with you!

and here are a couple of pics of matty and max from this morning. happy monday! gotta run...

HaPpY!!!

The website is up and running!! Yay! Join the email list for 15% off you first order. Let me know what you think and please let me know if you run into any hiccups!!

stolen time.

I got away for a quick overnighter and some time with my sisters.  Wait, didn't she just go out of town (you might ask?)  Yes, but this was a spur-of-the-moment, let's make it happen trip.  And being unexpected made it that much more precious!

Friday night I had dinner with Sue and Ellen.  Enriques--flautas & chocolate bread pudding, time to talk, tears, laughter.  It was sooo good.

Then down to the OC for a few hours with Chris.  Ahhh, loved every minute of it.

The drive down and back meant time alone, to think and sing and pray and dream.

So good to see my boys again and tuck them in tonight.  Now, to catch up on email (and maybe laundry!)
