PS i love you

We had a great time in Palm Springs. It was HOT--about 110 degrees! So we sat in the kiddie pool a lot, laid around the suite, ate out, saw a movie and laughed a ton. It was so good to be with my sisters and the boys did great! They listened well (except for a couple tantrums) and went with the flow.
The evenings were beautiful with the hot sun setting behind the palm trees.
matty splashed and splashed (he could have played in the water all day!) david really enjoyed the water, too!
all of us at babe's BBQ in palm desert.
me and david get a little post swim snuggle
matty's new froggy flip-flops because the ground was too hot to walk on barefoot!

So, how many times today has Matty asked, "Go to pool?" ? It was so fun to hang out with you. Get some rest and enjoy the cool Los Osos weather.

so fun. so so fun!
Back to the grind - dog grooming, dry cleaners, bridesmaid dress fitting, laundry, haircut, trying to keep my anxious mind off crazy, exciting impending situation.
Lots of prayer, deep breath.

I know you have talked about this somewhere before, but can you remind us how far apart in age you and your sisters are? You all are gorgeous and look so much alike. LOL. Fun flip flops for Matty!

Thanks Danielle, you are sooo sweet! Chris and I are 32 and Susan and Ellie are 30. Then the two youngest are also 30 and my older brother is 34. 7 kids (well adults, now 3 1/2 years apart) Crazy!
I am so excited that Matty is starting to wear flip-flops. My sisters were teasing me that priority #1 is getting him to wear flip-flops, priority #2 was getting him to use the potty :)
BTW not much pee pee in the potty yet!!

I grew up in Palm Springs, and my family all lives down there. I have a rule that I don't visit them from April until September...

What were you doing down there at this time of year?!?!

My favorite memories include: playing golf of a 5 star course for $30 / person (season price is over $500 /person) - It was 120 degrees outside - no joke; driving my 1979 Dodge Colt for three years - without air-conditioning; and summer nights that never got cooler than the 90's.

I am convinced that the Lord has forsaken the place. I am glad you guys all made it back safe and sound to the promised land.
