weekend.

we are taking a deep breath as we get back into the swing of things after vacation. trying to find beauty in simple things. trying to let things be crazy and not get stressed.

enjoying my parents who are visiting for a couple days. so, so good to have them here.

david took a big step (literally and figuratively) today. he stepped into the house from the backyard. it's just one step up into the house, but he is hesitant to do it. well, he was hesitant. but today he did it. every achievement is so exciting!

we are planning a birthday celebration for david tomorrow. some of our friends are coming to help us celebrate. more pictures to come! what are your weekend plans?

Oh, Lisa, I am so excited to hear about David's step. My daughter has weak ankles because of her condition and couldn't run, jump, or do steps without support a year ago. She attends early childhood here in our district. Just a few months ago I caught her going up steps without holding onto anything and I got so excited. Now she is jumping (just a little) and doing a really fast walk...almost a run. I am so proud of her accomplishments and I can tell you are proud of David's.....it is the little things, isn't it?
Have a great weekend with your mom and dad. We are celebrating a four year old's birtday!

How exciting about David!

We will be celebrating Michael's 7th Birthday. I can't believe they grow so quickly!

It is a joy to see them grow and learn and over come what once was daunting now it is a "can do". Nicky took forever to talk. It was only in the last couple months that he started using sentences. And the things hs says now! It is amazing. There certainly are lots of B-day parties this weekend! We too are attending one. Have a great time with your parents Lisa, I don't know how often you get to see them, but it sure is wonderful to have them visit. Our Nana and Papa are a big hit when we see them.

Hip, Hip, Hooray for David! That is a perfect timing to fill many exciting summer news. My younger son was the same with Sara's comment. Ryan now never keeps his mouth shut. (He still repeats some of the comments, but it does not matter anyway.)

Anyway, for a LONG time, my older son did not want to learn any sports besides kickball. Now, he is interested in youth baseball. We will be teaching both of our boys playing baseball. (let's hope it lasts.)

Enjoy your time with your parents and celebrate David's 6th. May his wish comes true.
